How to monitor JAXRS/Jersey applications

Some time ago I worked on a 20% project and finally, I got a version ready, which found it way up to the repositories of synyx now.

It's quite a new project and the current status can be described as an alpha or a prototypical version, but it's definitely in a shape, where developers can give it a try and leave their feedback. I tried to formulate the project's goal in one sentence on the company's blog and came up with the following:

We want fine grained statistics about things that happen without writing much integration code and to partition the data at runtime using the provided input.

Simply spoken: Annotate your resources and services and let Jersey and Metrics take care of the rest. Feel free to post your comments and to clone the repository at Github.
